Tour de Lis is a run, ride and walk that raises funds to prevent and cure cancer and help patients and their families cope with the physical and emotional challenges of a cancer diagnosis. Tour de Lis is a part of the global race to find a cure for cancer and extend the lives of cancer survivors. We provide an opportunity to ride, run or walk in honor or memory of a loved one. We celebrate the hope and strength of survivors and those still in battle. In just five years, this grass roots campaign to fight Cancer has raised over $900,000. Proceeds from Tour de Lis have been distributed to Cancer support organizations in the Greater New Orleans area and LIVESTRONG Foundation providing financial and emotional support to Cancer survivors.

With your support, we will reach our 2012 Tour De Lis goals, with 1,000 event participants and $400,000 in funds raised.

Our net proceeds this year will be divided between The Livestrong Foundation, our national beneficiary and GNO 501c3 organizations that are providing innovative and purposeful services to cancer patients, cancer survivors or family members whose loved ones are faced with a cancer diagnosis. The 2011 Tour de Lis, held behind Tad Gormley Stadium in New Orleans’ historic City Park, was a tremendous success, raising over $295,000 and far exceeding our $250,000 fundraising goal.

We would like to thank the many, many people who made this our best year yet, from our generous sponsors, our many participants, our hard-working volunteers and the the many others who worked hard to make this happen. Our success is also a tribute to the countless friends, family and loved ones whose personal fights against this disease inspire us to push harder and exceed our goals each year.

Established in 2006, Tour de Lis raises funds to support Cancer patients in the Greater New Orleans area as they meet the challenges of living, working and surviving with this disease. Our goal is to improve the survival rates and quality of life for people faced with a cancer diagnosis. We are committed to funding educational programs and services in and around New Orleans specifically for Cancer survivors and their families. Cancer is the leading cause of death in this world.
